Jewelweed, Pale touch-me-not

Common Name: Jewelweed, Pale touch-me-not
Scientific Name: Impatiens pallida
Range: North Carolina and Georgia North to Southern Canada
Flowering: June - October
Habitat: Wet woods and Meadows, often on wet, shady lake shores or creek banks.
Less common than the Spotted Touch-Me-Not, they do sometimes grow in large groups. This picture was taken in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park in the Cades Cove Area during the month of September. I have also seen it along the shore of Cordell Hull Lake in Middle Tennessee.
