This picture of Smooth Solomon's Seal with berries was taken in Burgess Falls State Natural Area in August.

Similar species, Hairy Solomon's Seal (Polygonatum pubescens), distinguished by small hairs along the veins on the undersides of the leaves.

Other Solomon's Seal include False Solomon's Seal (Smilacina racemosa), Great Solomon's Seal (Polygonatum canaliculatum), Star-flowered, and Three-leaved.
