Common Name: Virginia Bluebells
Scientific Name: Mertensia virginica
Range: North Carolina to Arkansas North to Minnesota & New York and Southern Ontario
Flowering: March - June
Habitat: Moist woods, especially flood plains
A unknown species of moth on Virginia bluebells in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

This wildflower is frequently grown in gardens, the photo below was taken in ours. Pink buds that open into light blue "trumpet" shaped flowers.
