Black Mountain in middle Tennessee offers a variety of
climbing opportunities ranging from excellent bouldering to short,
tough, lead climbs. The
rock are mostly short 40 footers but some are very challenging even
though they are short. There have been "sport" routes in
the past but most of these illegal bolts have been removed and
placing of additional bolts is forbidden.

I-40 take exit #329, Crab Orchard, 10 miles east of Crossville
Tennessee. Go south for 1.6 miles to Owl Roost Road, turn left.
Continue up the mountain 2.5 miles to a parking area on the right at
the base of large tower.
The rocks are located 100 yards south of the parking area. Walk through the parking lot past the orange barriers. Cross
