This is Steve with a Chinook Salmon, also called King Salmon. That fish was caught in April off of AuGre, Michigan. It weighed 24 pounds and would have been 30 or more by the fall spawning run. I caught it on a gray, silver and orange Long-A Bomber plug. The fish hit the lure just after I had released the line from the downrigger to bring in the pole at the end of the day. It took about twenty minutes to get it in and we netted it after the sun had set. It was a beautiful fish and I had it mounted. Visit Steve's web site for more outdoor information from Michigan.
