South Dakota Fatal Hunting Accidents

Below are some of the fatal hunting accidents that have happened in South Dakota.

  • 2006 - Andrew Snaza, 22, thought to have died of an accidental gun discharge October 7.

  • 2005 - Jay Torgerson, 39, was shot when a farmer fired two rifle shots from a nearby road at what he believed were geese feeding

  • 2003 - Roger Rector, accidentally shot while deer hunting
