Washington Fatal Hunting Accidents

Below are a few of the fatal hunting accidents that have happened in Washington.

  • 2009 - on September 10 Benny White, 50, was hunting elk with a cross bow and his hunting partner was using a compound bow. White was walking with his hunting partner behind him when White stopped abruptly and his hunting partner accidentally stabbed him in the back with his broad head tipped arrow. Mr. White bled to death.

  • 2004 - William E. "Willy" O'Neil, 48, died of hypothermia while duck hunting

  • 1995 - December 13, Theron Ticknor, 54, died after being hit by an arrow shot by a member of another hunting party.
