Wisconsin Fatal Hunting Accidents

Below are a few of the fatal hunting accidents that have happened in Wisconsin.
 

  • 2006 - 51 year old woman shot in chest when dog stepped on gun

  • 2006 - 19 year old man shot during during a deer drive

  • 2006 - Drew Breu, 19, shot by hunting companion who thought he was deer

  • 2005 - Sandra L. Marion, 46 shot during deer drive

  • 2005 - Robert J. Slattery, 14, shot in back by minor hunting partner

  • 2005 - Dale McDowell, 68, shot and killed by a member of his own hunting party

  • 2005 - Kenneth Kloes, 44, died of head injuries when he fell about 25 feet from a tree stand

  • 2005 - man, 22, died of an accidental self-inflicted gunshot wound while duck hunting

  • 2005 - Seth Hammes, 22,  was archery hunting when he was shot by man with .22 who left him to die

  • 2004 - James Blosfield, 47, shot

  • 2004 - Man, 38, shot during deer drive in Juneau County

  • 2004 - Man, 35, hunting from a tree stand in Rock County when the stand, which was in poor condition, began to tilt. The man's shotgun went off and struck him in the upper right thigh, resultin in his death.

  • 2003 - William Mundt, 33, shot by friend in the abdomen while walking from deer stand after dark.

  • 2003 - Gerald Bierman, 67, died after he was shot in the hip while hunting with relatives
