ONAWA - A North Carolina man pleaded guilty to taking a buck deer on an
antlerless deer only license in Monona County, Iowa, on Nov. 2, and paid $4,200
in fines.
Joseph Doss, 35, from Clemmons, North Carolina, was hunting on a nonresident archery
license when he harvested a buck on the morning of Nov. 2. Doss confessed during
an interview with Iowa Department of Natural Resources conservation officers.
In additions to the fine, Doss also forfeited his archery equipment valued at
$800.
The Onawa Police Department assisted with the case.
