This Cuban deer was
harvested by SSGT Wendling (left), pictured with CAPT Jones.
Every morning before we go into the minefields to work we buzz the
field. We ride in the back of our truck with light and sirens going
and a shotgun and look for deer, for the safety of the Marines
working the field. This deer was taken about a month ago (December
1999). It was a nice 6 point and live weight of about 90 pounds.
They don't get as big as North American whitetails but they taste
just as good. |
