to be careful out there. These water based activities are potentially

Olympic National Park, Washington - Alex Dixon, 21, and his
partner capsized 46-degree water after being helped he became
increasingly non-responsive and later died, from apparently from
hypothermia.

Tygart River, West Virginia - July 24, 2005, John Mullen, 37
an avid kayaker and outdoor writer for the Washington Post was
killed while kayaking the Tygart River in West Virginia.

Islands National Park, CA - May 29, 2005, Grace Huang, 26,
- Shenango River, Pennsylvania - David "Dub" Woods, 55,
canoe capsized while he was raccoon hunting
- Blackwater River, West Virginia - March 25 1989, Charlie
Deaton capsized his kayak, struck his head and died of those
injuries.
- Stoneycreek River, Pennsylvania - April 10th 1999, 53
year old paddler in 9' kayak capsized and pulled through strainer.
Was wearing PFD at time.
- Lake Marburg, Pennsylvania - July 23rd 1999, canoe
capsized man swam for shore with no PFD. Alcohol involved.

American River - May 1996, Luka Sribar of Slovenia drowned
while kayaking below Pacific House.
