The Great Smoky Mountains
National Park encompass a large variety of terrain with elevations from
1,600 feet to over 6,600 feet. Temperatures vary greatly and can change
quickly and without warning. It's not uncommon for it to be warm and sunny
in Gatlinburg while it's cold, windy, and raining at
Clingman's Dome just a few miles away. |
