Florida Panther

Everglades National Park Photo

The Florida panther is a large, solitary predator that is a close relative of the cougar or mountain lion that are fairly common throughout the west. They are so close that many scientist and biologist can not agree whether they are actually a separate species.
Diet: The Florida panther feeds primarily on deer, wild pigs, raccoons, and other small mammals.
