The 'Osage Orange' or 'Hedge Apples' are a tree that can now be found in many places in Tennessee. Traditionally used by farmers as or for fence rows. The fruit are often eaten by cattle, horses and wildlife such as deer and squirrels. Often found near old farm sites.
